I found some hint's on edges
BAD : top solid edge definition let's us use only few different coatings.
That is becouse it is defined in .cat file that comes with the edge. If you use "matter configuration" to modify edge "coating" than your edge color coating ( and codification) will NOT be exported ( for example to opticut).
So you have to do this :
1. Copy edges files .top ; .cat and .jpg from "Missler\V613\z\cfgagc\lib\STD-Edges" to "your standard catalog". ( to have "cfgagc" folder Topsolid Planner must be installed)
2. All edges must sit in your standard catalog under folder called "edge"
3. copy file "lib.cfg" from "Missler\V613\z\woo\lib\TOPWOOD" to your "your standard catalog folder" ( not in "edge" folder but outside)
4. Now open in edge folder .cat file ( any) . You will see this :

5. You have to delete complete coating list ( to be able to free select coating)..or upgrade list by yourself to your liking).

6. Repeat this for every edge you will use, you can delete edges you will not use
7. Open topsolid and go to Tools/Options/TopsolidWood Configuration/ Files
On the right side open "assemblies" and you will se "Defalut edge"... there you need to select some most often used edge (.top file) from your standard catalog ( one that you just copied and changed .cat file).
8. Now you don't have to select coating and you can freely modify coating from matter configuration for all project at once. Best of all this information will be exported to Opticut or other cutting software etc, I'll show you how in my next post

Edge codification hint.
You can write codification like this
[thickness]-[h|01mm]-[matter][coating]
I don't know if you can write something more, but you can delete some of those if you don't need.
For example I want my edges in export files to be coded like this
0.5/22 edge coating
0.5/31 edge coating
0.5/42 edge coating
2/22 edge coating
2/31 edge coating
2/42 edge coating
so by following my rule I write edge codification
[thickness]/[h|01mm] [coating]
h = it will create height based on your edge asociatons
01mm = represents two characters in milimeters
now I go in edge associations and fill a table like this
Height / Transition
15/22
16/22
17/22
18/22
19/22
20/31
21/31
22/31
23/31
etc.
this way no matter what thickness is your part edges will be coded only in categories that you can buy - that you need for your edgebander...you probably order only few thickness and width like I do.
